Jordan Reis Cohen
Born in San Francisco and raised as a Bay Area native, Jordan brings the better part of two decades of business transactional legal experience in the hospitality and alcoholic beverage industries. Notably, with a broad view of CA statewide, Jordan’s expertise focuses on business formation & transactions, alcohol licensing and compliance, commercial leasing, mergers and acquisitions, equity/debt based financing, key employee agreements, and trademark protection.
He was introduced early on to cooking and food culture by his mother and father. Though there were initial thoughts of culinary school or a crusade as a writer, he was urged to pursue a legal career that unknowingly would bring him face to face with the industries he was so passionate about.
Jordan seized the impeccable opportunity to create Brick & Mortar Legal PC that serves California’s burgeoning alcoholic beverage and hospitality community. In addition to his particular understanding of California beverage law, Jordan's years of working at restaurants in both the back and front of the house allow him the unique ability to approach ownership, operation, and small business issues with true pragmatism.
